Lupe Fiasco – Words I Never Said

Grammy-nominated rapper Lupe Fiasco was escorted off the stage of StartUp’s Rock On inauguration event while performing the antiwar song, “Words I Never Said”.   Organizers claim that the audience was not happy with Fiasco’s choice of music.  Given that Lupe is an outspoken,  vocal critic of Barack Obama and the fake war on terror -

During an interview with CBS in 2011, Fiasco called Obama a terrorist. “The biggest terrorist is Obama and the United States of America. I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism,” he said.

“You know, the root cause of terrorism is the stuff the U.S. government allows to happen. The foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists.”

- it defies my imagination as to why organizers wanted him to perform – but I am very glad he did.  Here is the video of the song that riled Obama supporters, with the lyrics below.

  1. Does this mean his performance was a fiasco? (*rimshot*)
