Many believe the truth about the manner of Dr Kelly’s death has never been established properly. Some even fear that the 59-year-old, the world’s leading expert in biological and chemical weapons, was murdered.
Of course, it would be easy to dismiss these skeptics as wild conspiracy theorists but for the fact they include eminent doctors and MPs.
In March of 2003, the US and its international gang members invaded Iraq for the second time, selling the war to the public with the claim that Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons of mass destruction, banned by the United Nations, and could destroy the US and UK with just 45 minutes’ warning! Although it is widely accepted today that these claims of nuclear weapons were a complete lie used to justify what was actually a war to seize control of Iraq’s oil to stop it from being sold for the Euro (which the UN had authorized just the year before), in mid 2003 the growing suspicions of deception were still being denounced by the government and by the presstitutes and whorespondents of the corporate media as “conspiracy theories”, and those who asked pertinent questions as “tin-foil hat wearing kooks.”
Attention quickly focused on the document produced by Tony Blair’s office, since called the “Dodgy Dossier”, claiming that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. This was prompted by the revelation that it was actually copied from a hopelessly outdated student thesis (as publicly revealed by the student) and the leaking of the Downing Street Memo which made it clear that claims about WMDs were propaganda fixed around an already existing decision to launch a war of conquest into Iraq.
Public outcry forced the British Government to launch an investigation which found that Iraq had fully complied with the UN Resolution to dispose of its weapons of mass destruction, that Iraq never had nuclear weapons, and had destroyed their stockpiles of chemical weapons (most of which were given to Iraq by the US to use against Iran). This meant the US/UK invasion was not only totally unjustified but illegal as well. Key to the British Inquiry was weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly who resisted pressure to support the propaganda lie and provided clear documentation of the results of the inspections carried out by himself and his fellow team mates in trying to find the weapons Bush and Blair had insisted were there. The British inquiry concluded that Bush and Blair had lied. Then, on July 17th, 2003, Dr. Kelly, relaxing after his harrowing ordeal, went for a walk, and never returned home, His body was found the following day, and immediately declared to be a suicide, a combination of taking an overdose of pills followed by the slashing of his wrist.
But there were problems with the official story, starting with why Dr. Kelly would consider suicide when the stresses of the inquiry were now over? Paramedics at the scene where the body was found insisted it had been moved post-mortem, and found EKG sensors still taped to his chest! Dr. Kelly’s family insisted he was not suicidal. The packages of pills found in Dr. Kelly’s pocket did not have his fingerprints on them! And one of the other UN weapons inspectors reported that Dr. Kelly was on a “hit list” because of things he knew that had not yet been made public! And it was reported than a British agent had admitted Kelly had been “exterminated.” At that point, both the US and UK governments simply ignored the matter while the corporate media continued to scream “You are all tin-foil hat wearing KOOKS!”
